Dine Without Whine
The most fun you can have with your child is creating Jell-O desserts. There is a Jell-O dessert for every holiday. Kids love the color and the wiggle of Jell-O treats. Make it a fun project to create an Easter Jell-O egg basket. You can construct these fun Easter Eggs using cake molds or cookie cutters.
Jell-O Eggs – Make these in Pastel Colors for Easter
*2- 4 oz pkg. unflavored gelatin
*Egg Shaped Cookie Cutter
*Bunny Shaped Cookie Cutter
*8- oz cool whip
*Jello-O in flavors of your choice
Instructions:
1. Dissolve two 4-ounce packages of unflavored gelatin in 1 cup of boiling water.
2. Cool to room temperature,
3. Whip in 8 ounces of Cool Whip and
4. Combine with 6 ounces of flavored Jell-O dissolved in 1 cup boiling water.
5. Pour into lightly greased pan and
6. Refrigerate until firm (about 2 hours).
7. Cut with egg shaped cookie cutter or rabbit cookie cutter
8. Decorate with shredded M&M, skittles and coconut
Bunny Ice-Cream
Ingredients:
*Vanilla ice cream
*1 pkg. of coconut
*Carrot shavings
*Jellybeans
*Licorice strings
Instructions:
1.Arrange 3 balls of vanilla ice cream on a plate to form a bunny--use size medium scoop for head, larger scoop for body and tiny scoop for the tail.
2.Cover with shredded coconut.
3.Place carrot shavings (large) for ears
4.Jelly beans for eyes and nose, and
5.Use licorice stings for whiskers.
Bunny Face Salad
Ingredients:
*Lettuce
*Cottage cheese
*1 pear
*Celery stick
*Raisins
*1 red Grapes
Instructions:
1. Arrange lettuce on a salad plate
2. Spoon cottage cheese on top of the lettuce
3. Peel and core a pear, cut it in half (or use canned halves).
4. Place one half on top of the cottage cheese for the bunny face.
5. Add pieces of celery for whiskers
6. Raisins for eyes
7. Use grape for the nose.
Cut the remaining pear section in half for the ears.
